International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, 04-05 Feb 2025, Paris
ID Quantique is excited to announce its participation in the Opening Ceremony of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ 2025), taking place on 4–5 February 2025 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris
This momentous event, organized under the leadership of UNESCO, celebrates quantum science’s role in addressing global challenges and advancing the United Nations’ Agenda 2030 and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Opening Ceremony of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ) will be held from 4-5 February 2025 at UNESCO Headquarters. It marks the official commencement of a global initiative dedicated to celebrating 100 years since the initial development of quantum mechanics and increasing public awareness of the importance of quantum science and applications today and for the future. It will feature keynote speeches by Nobel Laureates, fireside chats on inclusivity and equity, and panels on quantum’s contributions to sustainable development and ethical innovation. Networking opportunities and an exhibition will showcase cutting-edge advancements in quantum science.
As a world leader in quantum technologies, IDQ is at the forefront of innovations in quantum-safe cryptography, quantum communication, and quantum sensing. Our CEO, Grégoire Ribordy, will give a talk during the ceremony, sharing insights on how quantum technologies can transform industries, enhance security, and drive sustainable progress.
