IDQ Showcases Cutting-Edge Products at SPIE Photonics West 2023

The SPIE Photonics West conference is the premier event for the photonics and laser industries, where researchers, engineers, and industry leaders from around the world gather to discuss the latest developments and advancements in the field. This year, the conference was held in the first week of February and attracted a record number of attendees, including the Quantum Sensing team from IDQ.

Quantum Technologies Highlighted At SPIE Photonics West 2023

Without question this was the busiest show since 2020 and there was a lot of excitement to take in. This year’s show included an expanded ‘Quantum West’ stage with special programming throughout the week focused on the exciting possibilities of “Quantum 2.0,” the future of applied quantum technologies to solve entirely new challenges and provide unique capabilities in large-scale systems. A special spotlight was shed on Quantum Key Distribution by both industry and technology leaders, and if the Quantum West plenary room was any indication, quantum science is indeed attracting worldwide attention!

Meanwhile at the IDQ booth, a collection of Photonic Sensing products including the ID1000 Time controller, ID Qube Gated and Free-Running models, and ID 3000 picosecond laser were on display as part of an interactive demonstration. This live demo highlighted the ease with which these instruments can be quickly configured for many types of quantum optics measurements and experiments.

The booth staff met with attendees from all over the world and had dozens of conversations with current and future users of our exciting technology.

 

The Quantum Sensing team from IDQ left the SPIE Photonics West 2023 conference feeling inspired and energized, and excited to continue pushing the boundaries of quantum optics and sensing. We will be joining other events in the coming weeks and hope to see you there.
