IDQ and Singtel sign Memorandum of Understanding to establish a robust quantum ecosystem in Singapore
In Singapore, on June 5th, ID Quantique and Singtel, Asia’s leading communications technology group, announced they signed a partnership to establish a robust quantum ecosystem in Singapore and the region.
As quantum computing gains more traction, it will soon outsmart the tools used for data protection today. With IDQ’s suite of quantum-safe solutions underpinned by state-of-the-art QKD and quantum key management platform and Singtel’s high quality telecommunication infrastructure, both companies aim at developing local expertise in Quantum communications and enable Quantum Safe Networks for a safe and strong digital economy in Singapore.
IDQ and Singtel will be developing use cases to drive adoption among organisations, as well as working towards deploying advanced forms of encryption to safeguard data networks from malicious adversaries. Beyond enhancing the resilience and security of businesses in Singapore’s digital economy, Quantum technologies also enable greater innovation and growth opportunities for enterprises.
In parallel, at AsiaTech, IMDA also announced its Digital Connectivity Blueprint for building a quantum-safe and trusted digital economy within the next decade. Singtel together with IDQ will join the program.
